Volume: The trading volume picked up pace in both NYSE and NASDAQ stock exchanges, and came in a little heavier than yesterday’s level. The heavy volume trading added some luster to the Dow Jones and NASDAQ gains, but questioned the strength of the S&P 500 gains.
Growth stocks: Leading growth stocks from our watch list showed strength from the start, and finished the day also strong. Only a handful of stocks made it to the decliners list. Our “Top 250 – Growth Stock Daily Heat Map” that ignores the trading volume, also filled with greener shade all day, indicating the buying was broad based, and not isolated to a handful of stocks.

Recap: The Dow Jones and NASDAQ showed the much-needed strength, today. It would have been nice, if the S&P 500 also traded along with them. Having said that, all three indexes at least stopped the last couple of days of receding. The S&P 500 chart looks lot healthier than the Dow Jones, though.
So, the market rally is staying put. So, just trade on side of the rally, i.e. going long.
