03/04/2013 – Dow Jones , S&P 500 and NASDAQ ready to make a new 52 week high.

Market review – Mon, Mar 4th ,2013 : The major indexes Dow Jones, S&P 500 and NASDAQ receded at the open, and posted modest losses, right away. Though, the indexes tried to recoup the losses, it took until the early afternoon for the selling pressure to run the course, and finally the indexes to rally back. The indexes quickly recovered the losses, and slowly, but steadily accumulated some gains. As the indexes didn’t encounter any major reactions, they saw a bullish close, as they ended day at the Intraday highs.

Volume: The trading volume ran mixed for the day, as it came in heavier than the Fridays level in the NYSE stock exchanges, and receded in the NASDAQ. The heavy volume trading added some luster to the Dow Jones and S&P 500′s gains.

Growth stocks: The leading growth stocks from our watch list had a good day, today as the heavy volume gainers led the day. The decliners list got shrunk, as the trading session progressed. The green shade also dominated our Top 250 – Growth stock daily heat map, all day.

Recap: As like Friday, the indexes fought back the early sell-off and finished the day with gains. The Dow Jones and S&P 500 is not that far-off from making a new 52 week high. The NASDAQ less than -1% off from the 52 week high, as well. So, things appear to be tight, and the rally remains healthy. So, just stay tight, and trade on the side of the rally.
