03/07/2013 – Dow Jones , S&P 500 and NASDAQ continue to hit new high ground.

Market review – Thu, Mar 7th ,2013 : The major indexes Dow Jones, S&P 500 and NASDAQ added gains at the open, and started the day as like yesterday. The day’s action was also resembled yesterday, as well. The indexes moved pretty much sideways in a consolidation mode almost all day. There were rallies and reactions. But, they were mild and didn’t raise any alarms. The NASDAQ led the pack at times. Regardless of a slow day, all three indexes ended the day in the positive territory with mild gains.

Volume: The trading volume came in mixed for the day, as it edged up slightly in the NYSE stock exchange and receded in the NASDAQ. The increase volume in trading added some luster to today’s mild gains in the Dow Jones and S&P 500.

Growth stocks: The leading growth stocks from our watch list ended the day with a mixed action. The heavy volume gainer overtook the decliners and ended the day on a strong note. But, the number stocks advanced and declined in price ran evenly in our Top 250 – Growth stock daily heat map, though.

Recap: The indexes overall had a constructive day, even though they added mild gains. The key thing is that they held on to the recent gains. They ended the day in the positive territory. The Dow Jones saw another record close. The S&P 500 and NASDAQ logged another 52 week high. More and more slow-moving growth stocks are also clearing their buy points. So, the rally remains intact. Just reap the benefits of it before it ends for good.
