03/13/2013 – Dow Jones , S&P 500 and NASDAQ still add gains in a wild trade.

Market review – Wed, Mar 13th ,2013: Though, the major indexes Dow Jones, S&P 500 and the NASDAQ started the day flat, they soon saw a wild reaction and priced in red. The indexes also soon established a wild trading pattern for the day, as they quickly rallied back. Though, the indexes continued the recovery, the day was filled with solid rallies and severe counter reactions, only. But, regardless of the wild trading pattern, the indexes ended the day in flat, but in the positive territory.

Volume: The trading volume came in mixed for the day as it slightly edged up in the NYSE stock exchange, and receded in the NASDAQ. But, the trading volume didn’t add much impact on the day’s outcome one way or another.

Growth stocks: The leading growth stocks from our watch list performed slightly better than the indexes today. Though, the heavy volume gainers list was not that crowded, still good number of stocks made it to that list, than the decliners list. The number of growth stocks that went up in price, also had a slight upper hand on our Top 250 – Growth stock daily heat map, as well.

Recap: The indexes overall had another constructive day. They stayed put, and didn’t log a distribution day. They fought back the early sell-off. The S&P 500 retested the 1,550 price level. The Dow Jones went for another record closing. The leading growth stocks from our various stock picks outperformed, today. Though, the wildness in the trade added some doubts, but didn’t make any dent on the current rally. It remains active and well.
